December 2025

Hi FND Wellbeing Community 🌿
The festive season can stir up a mix of joy, pressure, nostalgia and overwhelm — especially when living with FND.
This month’s update brings you supportive seasonal tips to help you feel steadier through it all, community news, and a celebration of Liz’s wonderful achievement — a bright spot of inspiration, as we head into December.
In appreciation of this wonderfully supportive FND Wellbeing Community, I’m sharing a small seasonal gift — exclusive festive discounts offered with warmth and gratitude, just for you.
Grab a cuppa, take a breath, and settle in. This is your moment to pause, reconnect and replenish 💛

✨ From Confusion to Creativity
How Liz Turned Her FND Journey into a Pocket of Support

When my FND symptoms began, they were very confusing. I felt like the signalling between my brain and body became totally “scrambled”. Getting a diagnosis didn’t bring the support or peace of mind I’d hoped for - I just felt rejected, dismissed and lost.
What made it harder was that I’d spent years building a strong foundation in coaching and holistic wellbeing - mindfulness, nervous system regulation, trauma-informed practice, neuroscience etc. These were tools I used myself and with my neurodivergent clients. You’d think that would have helped when FND arrived - but instead, it felt like everything I normally relied on suddenly slipped out of reach. I felt stuck and unsure how to move forward.
Looking for support led me to the Wellbeing Wednesday sessions, where however I showed up was completely okay. Hearing others’ experiences helped me further understand FND. The Starting Steps course also helped me advocate for myself and get onto an NHS referral pathway (still waiting, like many of us).
Learning how stress and a highly activated nervous system can influence FND symptoms helped things start to click into place. As a neurodivergent person, my system naturally runs “on the go”, and understanding that overlap reconnected me with the work I had been doing around rest and finding calm.

That’s what inspired me to create the ADHD Pocket Reset book. I wanted something simple and easy to use, especially for ADHD brains that can’t always remember their tools when overwhelm hits. Something you can keep in your pocket, flick through, and find a tiny reset you can do right away. It’s full of short, sensory-friendly ideas designed to calm the brain and body without pressure or perfection. Because those tiny moments of support add up, especially when life feels confusing or unpredictable.
If you’d like to learn more about Liz’s ADHD Pocket Reset and the calm, sensory-friendly ideas she’s created, you can find out more using the link below.
It's offered here simply as a celebration of her creativity and courage, and the resource she’s crafted from her own journey.

🔦 What's Been Happening
🌟 Raising Awareness: FND Training with Rise Space
.jpg)
Behind the scenes this month, I’ve been working with Rise Space — an organisation doing truly meaningful work to support young people with SEND needs through a compassionate, whole-person approach.
What I admire most is how they look at the whole person — their strengths, challenges, sensory needs and emotional world — and shape support around who that young person is, not who they’re expected to be. It’s exactly the kind of mindset that truly benefits those with FND.
The training was met with fantastic feedback, and I’m delighted to be returning in January 2026 to record a podcast for their community hub as well.
Every step toward greater awareness helps create a safer, more understanding world for our community.

✨ Our Community Connections
🌼 Wellbeing Wednesdays
November’s sessions took us from overflowing “stress buckets” to the unpredictability of FND fluctuations — and even into a meaningful, community-led conversation held by our lovely volunteer, Brodie. Each week brought insight, honesty, connection, and compassion.
Here's what we've explored together this month.
🪣 The Stress Bucket & FND
We explored how daily demands, symptoms, and emotional load build up in our “bucket,” and discussed some simple, gentle ways to create more space and steadiness to regulate ourselves.
🔄 Living With Physical & Cognitive Fluctuations
We looked at how changing symptoms affect movement, thinking, planning, emotions and relationships — learning to respond with self-compassion, and practical tools for the ups and downs.
💬 Your Voices, Your Needs
Brodie hosted a beautiful community-led session, inviting members to share what supports them, what they’d love more (or less) of, and what they want FND Wellbeing to grow into. A genuine moment of collaboration, courage, connection and celebration.
💬 Connect & Chat
Our final session of the month continues to be a space of bravery, vulnerability, and heartfelt connection — a reminder that we have a beautiful, non-judgemental community.
"Thank you Kerryn, really helpful that information "
"This is the only space where I have felt understood and supported in a positive way. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found this group. Meeting others, connecting - everything resonates. Thank you so much to everyone involved.
🖍️ Neurographic Art
NOTICE - CHANGE OF TIME
The Christmas Neurographic Art session is on:
Sunday 07 December at 4pm.
We'll be playing with baubles and doodling away allowing our subconscious minds to wander and flow across the paper. It's fun, relaxing, expressive and a great way to connect with others.
"Wow, that's really made me think about things differently. I've always struggled with this and now I havea really different way of looking at things."
