Pacing for FND

A survey in 2021, by the NCBI, found that 93% of individuals diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder constantly battled fatigue. It can be a daily struggle.

The Spoon Theory has been a valuable metaphor for understanding physical fatigue, but it often falls short in capturing the challenges unique to FND with the additional sensory, environmental and emotional overwhelm.

3 months (12 weeks) Weekly Supported Sessions, Online, £120

Pacing Pathways: Navigating life with FND is a personalised and tailored approach that goes beyond conventional methods.

The course is deliberately spread out over a three month period, with support sessions, because it takes time to find your individual baseline and it really is an art. We explore the link between fatigue and symptom management, the different stages of pacing and track energy and activities over the duration of the course.

With a toolkit full of strategies, tips and tools you can identify elements that give as well as drain you of energy and negotiate that tricky 'Boom and Bust' cycle that's so common.

This groundbreaking 12-week course provides you with an awareness of energy triggers, nurturing activities, practical skills and a personalised toolkit for your long-term wellbeing, management and growth with FND.

This course naturally dovetails with the shorter 8 week course Simply Rest: Nurturing Wellness in the Midst of Challenges that can be found within the Rest & Nurture Courses.
