Nervous System Regulation

A woman lying down relaxing with her arm above her head, listening to music through headphones

FND and the nervous system are so entwined! Persistent or long term stress, whether physical, mental or emotional, will dysregulate and over-sensitise our nervous system.

Learning to re-connect positively to our body, listen to our nervous system then gently nurture and regulate it back to a more balance state, can be truly beneficial in helping manage FND symptoms. It's also a great tool to help navigate life too.

3 Weekly Sessions, Online, Course price £40

Our lives have often turned upside down with the onset of FND. Our bodies are doing weird and wonderful things that feel beyond our control. We can feel disconnected and our own body can feel unsafe.

You can't just tell yourself that you are safe, you need to FEEL it in your body, and it's not always something that is innate in all of us.

A felt sense of safety is integral to regulating our nervous system. Havening, grounding, visualisations and sensory techniques are great ways to start to reconnect positively with our body and build a felt sense of safety.

Develop a deeper connection between your mind and body, build your toolkit of grounding and coping skills, and experience a more embodied felt sense of safety.

Just amazing! This has been the first time I have connected with my body in a positive way since even before I had FND. The toolkit is just packed full of practical, everyday stuff that I am actually using, and I never thought I'd say that! The course is more than that, it's learning an approach and mindset that really makes the difference.
