Welcome to September 2024

Hi FND Wellbeing Community Subscribers!

I’m trying something new with the format of our Community Updates and would love to hear your thoughts! Let me know if you like the new look, or if there’s anything we can improve.

I’ve been busy working behind the scenes and also taking some much-needed time for myself. As many of you know, I have a deep love for trees. On my recent adventures, I stumbled upon some stunning Redwood trees and other magnificent old ambassadors of nature.

I thought I’d share a couple of pics with you!

As we roll into September, there’s a lot happening. Many of our courses are restarting with new intakes this month, so here’s a quick summary to ensure you don’t miss out!

Raising Awareness About FND

This month I'm raising awareness with the Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust who have invited me to provide them with a 'Spotlight' session on Functional Neurological Disorder.

I know that there is a lot of ignorance and misunderstanding of our condition, but the good news is that I am personally seeing a much more open and proactive shift towards understanding the condition amongst healthcare practitioners in the last 12 months. I know there's a long way to go, but it's a good start!

Exact date to be confirmed: Towards the end of September / beginning of October I'll be hosting another FREE webinar on FND and the challenges of nervous system regulation - plus they'll be a technique or two to take away!

... And A Monthly Meet Up for Neurographic Art!

By request from some lovely members of our FND community. I'll be trialling a monthly opportunity to come together, as group of people who understand FND, to have a go at creating some neurographic art/squiggles, and have a chat too.
