Hi FND Wellbeing Community Subscribers!

I hope you’re all staying as well as possible. The shift in seasons - and the clocks changing - brings an opportunity for reflection and renewal.

There's a lot happening behind the scenes at FND Wellbeing! We’ve just launched a new service to support businesses in understanding and accommodating people with FND in the workplace. I’m also training more NHS staff on FND's impact and how best to interact with our community, and I’m thrilled to be working with wellbeing professionals to create our first-ever online FND Wellbeing Weekend Retreat this January 2025!

In the meantime, members in this community are experiencing some wonderful shifts through Simply Rest, Pacing Pathways, and NeuroFlow, as well as connection and creativity in our Neurographic Art sessions and Wellbeing Wednesdays.

Check out the full update below for more details, and join us wherever you can in this beautiful, supportive community.

Warm regards, Kerryn

What's Been Happening!

FND Awareness Training with the NHS

I was honored to be invited to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in London, one of the world’s leading hospitals. Many of their patients experience FND alongside their orthopaedic journeys.

We explored the involuntary nature of FND, loss of control, stigma, healthcare interaction and impact on daily life. It was inspiring to see influential professionals eagerly embrace tools and resources to better support FND patients - from practical approaches to sensitive language. Well done, RNOH!

If you would like me to connect with your healthcare trust for training and awareness, just click here the button, send me their details, and I'll get in touch with them for you.

Wellbeing Wednesdays - Managing Functional Seizures/ NEADs

Each month, we dive into a specific FND symptom, and in October, we focused on Functional Seizures/Non-Epileptic Attack Disorder. We began by acknowledging the various terms used to describe our unique experiences. Our community shared courageous stories, helpful tips, and techniques that have supported them. While I'm working on compiling these insights, here are two communication plans that may be helpful for you in the meantime.

You can sign up for FREE and join in Wellbeing Wednesdays here:

An Online Weekend FND Wellbeing Retreat - January 2025!

I'm thrilled to share that our community is coming together with some truly AMAZING individuals!

We have a fantastic lineup focused on supporting physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, offering practical tips, tools, and techniques for everyone. Many participants are sharing their FND stories and journeys, and I’m confident this will create a powerful and moving experience for all.
